SINGLE CAPSTAN UNDERGROUND PULLING WINCH

Suitable for power, telecommunications and fibre optic cable installations. The powerful single capstan winches have been designed to meet the needs of the multi-utilities contractor. High performance diesel engine and hydraulic oil coolers enable these units to cope with heavy workloads.

• One man operation - Rope can be pulled out directly from the take-up drum by one man, without the winch running, (unlike twin capstan designs requiring one man to operate the winch and one to pull the rope from the capstans).
• Single Capstan - Provides constant pulling force and prevents the damage to the rope associated with drum type winches.
• Engine - High power 16hp diesel, electric start with key switch.
• Safety Controls - All winching operations either forward or reverse are controlled via a single ‘dead mans handle’ control lever.
• Force Indication - Accurate force indication via a fluid damped graduated gauge.
• Maximum Force Control - The maximum desired pulling force can be set by the operator, between zero to maximum.
• Rear Anchors - Fully adjustable twin rear reaction struts.
