SHAVER FOR BONDED SEMI-CONDUCTIVE SCREEN

For shaving the semi-conductive layer (bonded-vulcanised type) on medium/high voltage XPLE insulated cables.

Technical Characteristics

• The tool has been designed for ease of use. To begin shaving just position the tool at the point where you want to start, adjust the depth of cut and then move the tool around the cable using the handle
• The stripping operation can be started from the cable end (approx. 25mm of screen will not be stripped) or from an intermediate point (approx. 4mm of screen will not be stripped)
• A small handle activates and de-activates the axial advancing
  A pin indicates the direction of advancement
• The tool can be used on cables from 10 to 52mm diameter
• The tool guarantees a smooth finish without irregularities after shaving
• The depth of cut is adjustable from 0 to 1.2mm in steps of 0.1 mm without the need of additional tools
• The minimum blade hardness is 55HRc
• The blade is easily replaced by using a 3mm Allen key
